In some cases, departments are charged event support fees for the use of certain spaces. Student groups are not charged for using these spaces.

Rate Structure

The Campus Activities Complex sets the rates each year for using spaces. Costs are based on the space classification and whether the event is for the MIT community or open to non-MIT attendees. Except where noted, a fee will be assessed on an hourly basis for the entire reservation time.

The following rates are set for the 2024–2025 fiscal year

MIT Chapel Fees

Current MIT students are not charged for any use of the Chapel, and no individuals are charged for memorial services. Non-students are charged the following flat rates:

  • Wedding: $900
  • Other events including Bar/Bat Mitzvah, baptism, confirmation: $500

Department Promotional Opportunities

  • Student Center Table; Stata Center Booth; Memorial Lobby Booth: $15/per day
  • Student Center Poster Space; Infinite Corridor Panel: $5/per day
