A return to MIT undergraduate residence halls is not guaranteed for students who leave housing to pursue other off-campus living opportunities.

Return to MIT undergraduate residence halls is not guaranteed for students who leave housing to pursue other off-campus living opportunities, including those who ask for a return to housing within their eight semesters of eligibility.

Students who are seeking on-campus housing are encouraged to submit an application through the Housing Waitlist Process). Once the Waitlist Application is submitted, students will be assigned to housing according to availability and on a rolling basis.

Students wishing to return to MIT undergraduate housing after an approved program away should notify Housing & Residential Services before leaving on such a program. On-campus housing is guaranteed to students who are returning from an approved program away who lived on campus during the term prior to leaving for their program.
