The Institute has specific policies governing the use of candles, open flames, and sterno fuel due to safety and fire prevention regulations. If your event may involve any of these elements, please consult with the Campus Activities Complex (CAC) early in your planning process. You should also review the guidance provided by MIT Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) under their Event & Exhibit Safety.
