Living in the MIT Community

As a member of the MIT community, we expect you to respect the rights and property of other residents and help minimize wear and tear on the facilities and furnishings. Most isssues involving conduct in your residence hall will be resolved through the self-governing system of student judicial committees and the residence hall staff.  Serious infractions of MIT policies and procedures however, may result in sanctions of even suspension from MIT housing at the discretion of the Dean of Student Life's office or the Committee on Discipline.

In this section of the website, you will find a list of housing policies, which you agree to read and abide by when you sign your Housing and Dining Agreement (UG) or Graduate Housing License Agreement (G). In addition to this list, please review the the Mind and Hand Book.
