WXGS supports all nonbinary and women students as well as allies to foster wellness, community, and belonging through student club and support, programs, workshops, education, advocacy and providing resources so students can be their whole selves to thrive at MIT.

Midday Music: Veronica Robles
Free and open to all! August 6, 2025 Spend your lunch break with professional mariachi singer, musician, Latin American folkloric dancer and choreographer Veronica Robles, joined by her All Women Mariachi Band.

Margaret Cheney Room
The Margaret Cheney Room was founded in 1884. Cheney Room exists to promote community, relationship building, support, and empowerment of all students at MIT as it relates to gender.

- The CRWN: The CRWN is designed for sophomore and above undergraduate women, though participation is open to all students. Students may remain in the program until graduation. Women include transgender women, cisgender women, and non-binary women
- Graduate Women at MIT (GWAMIT): A student-led organization focused on the personal and professional development of women graduate students.
- Graduate Womxn in Biology (GwiBio): A group focused on the needs of women graduate students in Biology.
- GWAE (formerly WGA3): The Graduate Women in Aerospace Engineering group, focused on building community and encouraging relationships between graduate students, faculty, and women’s group.
- HST Women’s Group: A group for women in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program.
- MEGA Women: The Mechanical Engineering Graduate Association of Women, dedicated to fostering friendships, mentorship, and supporting graduate women in the Mechanical Engineering department.
- Sloan Women in Management (SWIM): A club at MIT Sloan that aims to empower women in management through professional development, networking, and social events.
- Taara: Taara (meaning: Star) aims to provide a dynamic platform that empowers and elevates the voices of South Asian women, femme, and gender non-conforming students at MIT.
- TransMIT: TransMIT is to support the trans and gender expansive (i.e. identities including but not limited to: transgender, transsexual, gender non-conforming (GNC), genderqueer, two-spirit, agender, non-binary, and gender questioning) community at MIT
- Women in Chemistry: A group for women in the Chemistry department.
- Women in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: A group for women in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department.
- Women in Math: A group for women in the Math department.
- Women in Nuclear Science: A group for women interested in nuclear science.
- Womxn in Physics: A group for women in the Physics department.

- WILG is an independent living group run by its residents.
