The Indigenous Spirit program mentors students in upholding their identities and spiritual traditions, supports student clubs in building community across indigenous traditions, and connects across MIT through the New Moon meditations and campuswide celebrations such as the Beaver Moon. Indigenous Spirit partners include Radius, MIT Dining,  MIT Sustainability, MIT Open Documentary Lab,  MIT Collaboration Studio, MIT Media Lab and MIT ICEO.  Indigenous spirit programs attract undergraduate and grad students, researchers, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.

New Moon Meditation and Ceremony

The new moon is a time of darkness, rest, creativity, and gestation. The Indigenous Spirit Community hosts New Moon events, reminding us to honor our time of regeneration.

National Day of Mourning

Annual trip to the Indigenous National Day of Mourning (NDOM) rally and march, across from Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower museum.
