Lavender Graduation Ceremony 

 

Join LBGTQ+ Services for the 2025 hybrid Lavender Graduation on Friday, May 2nd at 4:30 pm US Eastern Time to celebrate our LBGTQ+ MIT undergraduate and graduate/post doc students who have graduated or will be graduating in 2025 and the wonderful things they've accomplished. This event is in collaboration with and hosted by our friends at Alumnx Pride and the MIT Alumni Association. All are welcome.

Please make sure to RSVP and share within your networks so you can receive the information on how to participate. Graduates must RVSP to participate.

For 2025 GraduatesThe registration deadline for graduating students to be included in the program is April 14th. Late additions may be allowed on a case-by-case basis. 

MIT Diploma & Graduation
Changes to the way your first and middle names appear on your diploma can be made within the degree application without going through a legal name change. You would just need to change your name in WebSIS. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date. To read how to have the name you would like on your diploma please go to the Registrar's website here

It’s a Vibe Workshop: Queer Joy as Resistance

 

Join us for an engaging, discussion-based workshop where we explore the power of Queer Joy as a form of resistance and healing. Together, we'll unpack how joy can be a radical tool for personal empowerment. Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding of Queer Joy or simply seeking a supportive space to connect and reflect, this workshop is for you. All are welcome!

Lunch & Lounge (Graduate Student Appreciation Week)

 

Join LBGTQ+ Services and Women and Gender Services for a casual, come-and-go lunch event designed for graduate students to relax, connect with peers, and take a break from their busy day. Enjoy good food, light activities, and a welcoming space to recharge. Music & Relaxed Vibes and Mini “Gratitude Wall”: Share notes of appreciation for your peers, advisors, or yourself. Open to all Graduate students

Rainbow Seder with MIT Hillel

 

We invite you to join us for a Rainbow Seder celebrating community and togetherness this Passover. Our seder will be vegetarian/vegan friendly. All levels of experience and backgrounds are welcome, bring your friends!

 

MIT Reads: Let's Talk "Burnout' 

 

Join us to hear Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski, co-authors of this semester's MIT Reads selection, in dialogue with Dr. Karen Singleton, Deputy Chief Health Officer of MIT Health. Sisters Emily Nagoski, PhD, and Amelia Nagoski, DMA, are here to help break the relentless cycle of burnout. With a deep compassion that guided their research, the Nagoski sisters illuminate the societal pressures that fuel exhaustion—and provide actionable strategies to reclaim balance and well-being

DIRECTIONS:

 

ACCESSIBILITY: A wheelchair-accessible lift can be found on the western side of Building 50. A swinging door on the opposite eastern end of the large room will lead to an elevator. Upon exiting the elevator on the second floor, make a left and the Rainbow Lounge is in front of you.

 

FRONT ENTRANCE: If you take the staircase that faces the Charles River you may walk up the staircase to the third floor, walk across the gym/testing center, and then down the second floor to the Rainbow Lounge.  Or once you enter Walker you can take the staircase down to the basement, take the hallway all the way to the back of Walker, then go up the staircase to the first floor and then the staircase to the second floor. The Rainbow Lounge doors will be in front of you.

 

BACK ENTRANCE LEFT: If you’re facing the back of Walker, the left staircase is the one that faces East Campus (building 62) and closest to Ames Street. To the staircase into Walker then walk up the staircase to the second floor.  The Rainbow Lounge doors will be in front of you.

 

BACK ENTRANCE RIGHT: If you’re facing the back of Walker, the right staircase is the one that is closest to Building 14, and the black structural sculpture that’s in the courtyard. Take the staircase into Walker, then enter into Morss Hall,  take a left to the pink swing door in the corner which you will enter into a kitchen. There is an elevator you can take to the second floor, or you can take the metal spiral staircase to the second floor and around the corner to the left is the Rainbow Lounge.
