Accommodation Procedures
MIT is committed to providing access to qualified students who have disabilities. One of the pillars of our mission in Disability and Access Services (DAS) is to ensure equal access for students with disabilities while upholding the integrity of MIT’s programs and services. We service all of MIT’s students, both on-ground and on-line.
Faculty
MIT faculty and staff are our partners in providing access for students served by DAS. With this in mind, DAS is committed to providing faculty and staff with resources regarding the accommodations request process, as well as teaching and learning materials in accessible formats.
All inquiries are welcome at das-all [at] mit.edu.
Students
For students seeking accommodations, we encourage you to contact us to discuss access, accommodations, and services which you may need. Consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Amended Act of 2008, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, our objective is to ensure that our students receive equal access to all Institute programs, activities, and services. To that end, we seek to balance the student’s right to access with our obligation to uphold the integrity of MIT’s programs, activities, and services.
