Danny Yamashiro is a co-chairperson of the Cambridge Roundtable on Science and Religion. Sponsored, in part, by the John Templeton Foundation, Roundtables offer presentations where Cambridge and Boston faculty exchange ideas and experiences on science, faith, and philosophy over dinner at the Harvard Faculty Club and MIT Samberg Center. He is a guest lecturer at Harvard University.

His PhD explored the formation of American presidents through childhood trauma. He hosts a daily radio/podcast, is an award winning novelist of young adult fiction, and has ministered in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America, and the Pacific and Atlantic islands. At 18, he miraculously survived falling 400 feet from a cliff in Hawaii. Ordained by the EV Free Church of America and president of JCCY, Inc., he lives with his wife, Jamie, in Brookline. They have three adult children.
