Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy joined the Division of Student Life in May 2021. Paul serves as the Associate Dean & Director in the Student Organizations, Leadership and Engagement Office (SOLE) here at MIT.

Prior to joining MIT, Paul served as the Associate Director for the Office of Student Involvement at Boston College. In this role, Paul was responsible for advising the Undergraduate Student Government, Boston College’s student-run EMT program and the Senior Week Committee. In addition to the advising roles, Paul was responsible for oversight of Leadership Programs and Student Activities.

Before joining Boston College, Paul held the position of Director for Student Programming and Leadership at Regis College. Paul served as a live-on administrator at Regis College’s main campus and managed the Orientation program.

Paul graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and went on to complete his MBA at Curry College and a post master’s certificate in higher education leadership from Regis College.
