John Ross Campbell

John Ross Campbell came to MIT in 2013 as Area Director for New House before moving to New Vassar in 2021. Originally from Ohio, John Ross came to the Boston area in 2010. In addition to an undergraduate degree in English and linguistics, John Ross also holds a master’s degree in higher education administration and student personnel with a certificate in international higher education from Kent State. His research interests relate to the experience of first-generation college students, particularly from rural backgrounds. In his spare time, John Ross enjoys traveling, watching the Bruins and Red Sox, and spending time with his Old English Sheepdog Barnaby.
