Ana is the Assistant Director of Student Organization and Programming in the Student Organizations, Leadership, and Engagement (SOLE) Office at MIT, bringing her talents to the team in October 2023. She takes pride in her role, which involves a diverse array of administrative tasks that support the Senior Associate Dean and the Associate Dean for Student Activities, Leadership, and Engagement. Ana thrives on the student-centric aspect of her work. She plays a vital role in organizing events, overseeing student hiring initiatives for the Diversity and Community Involvement sector, and fostering connections with over 500 student organizations. Ana’s multifaceted role extends to crafting our SOLE Office monthly newsletter and managing our social media channels, ensuring effective communication within the MIT community.
What Ana values most is the opportunity her role provides for engaging with the entire MIT community. She finds her work deeply rewarding as it allows her to forge meaningful relationships with student leaders, step outside her comfort zone, embrace creative challenges, and continue learning about MIT and its exceptional student leaders.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico (Boricua!), Ana carries her heritage with immense pride. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Chemistry from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master of Education in Educational Policy and Leadership in Higher Education from Boston University.
