McCormick Hall Renewal
McCormick Hall will be closed beginning in summer 2026. A renewal to target aging building systems will preserve the building’s charm while meeting accessibility standards.

In Construction
East Campus Renovation
Through collaborative work, East Campus residents have shaped this renovation project to prepare it to host their community for the next 100 years.

Completed
Graduate Junction
Completed August 2024, MIT partnered with graduate students and American Campus Communities to create a new 675-bed MIT-affiliated graduate residence.

Student Center (W20)
Opened in Fall 2023, the Student Center was designed to be a destination for wellbeing, performing arts and dance, healthy eating, and community building

Burton-Connor Renewal
Burton Conner underwent a two-year renewal for an extensive infrastructure and building systems update and reopened in August 2022

Graduate Tower at Site 4
Completed in 2021, Graduate Tower contains 454 housing units, rising 28 floors above Kendall Square, and was designed for a mix of individuals and families.

New Vassar
Opened in January 2021, this 450-bed community was developed through a process that identified student priorities and sought new ways to improve the living experiences.
