Due to COVID-19 related concerns and policy adjustments, MIT's Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards has cancelled the 2020 COFHE Conduct Officers Conference.

Dear Colleagues,

We have been tracking different institutions’ responses to COVID-19, especially domestic travel and gathering restrictions. While we hope these restrictions are lifted as soon as possible, we have no guarantee they will be lifted in time to make arrangements for us to host or for you to travel. Unfortunately, our hotel and event contracts will incur financial penalties if we wait much longer to decide on contingency plans.

It is with this information in mind that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 conference on MIT’s campus.  Refunds will be issued to folks who paid registration fees and booked rooms at the Marriott within the next 7-10 business days.

We were excited to host in July and had already put significant time into planning our week together, so please know this decision was not made lightly. We also know the importance of our summer gathering to the group, especially during challenging times. We are hoping that you will join us for a virtual COFHE Conduct Officers Meeting in July 2020 and we are making arrangements to host our next in-person gathering in July 2021.

Please email James at reedjm@mit.edu if you have questions or concerns about refunds.
