MITFCU was founded in 1940 to provide basic financial services to employees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Today, the Credit Union serves employees of the MIT Campus, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Whitehead Institute, The Broad Institute, and employees of Bright Horizons Children's Centers who work at Lincoln Laboratory and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus locations. In addition, they serve MIT graduate and undergraduate students, retirees of the employer groups, former employees, household members, and the families of Primary Members.
