Want to book another event?
CAC looks forward to helping make your special day the event of a lifetime.
CAC offers the following services for baptisms, bar/bat mitzvahs, naming ceremonies, renewal of vows, and like religious ceremonies:
- Site visit/walkthrough (includes recommendations/advice based on past events)
- Room setup (furniture only, not linens and other catering needs)
- Use of CAC furniture inventory as available
- Arrangements for rental furniture (additional cost)
Ready to get started?
To check availability of dates for your ceremony in the MIT Chapel or other CAC spaces, please contact CAC by completing the Inquiry Form. A CAC staff member will reply, typically within forty-eight hours.
Once a date is identified and a completed Personal Event Application is submitted and processed, you will receive a tentative confirmation via email. You have fifteen days to submit a 50 percent deposit in order to lock in your reservation. The remaining balance is due one month prior to your event.
Do I have to use a particular caterer for my reception?
No, however, use of an off-campus caterer can incur an additional $200 fee on top of the room rate. Off-campus caterers must provide proof of $1 million in liability insurance before operating at MIT. There are no kitchens available in CAC buildings. All cooking must be done off-site (except outdoor BBQ).
Is parking available?
The Chapel Turnaround can park up to 13 cars (double-parked) and is included with the Chapel rate when available. It is not automatically extended for a reception, so please inquire for availability. To inquire about renting a nearby parking lot on campus please contact the MIT Parking Office at 617.258.6510 or email@example.com.
What is the capacity of the MIT Chapel?
The Chapel normally seats 114 people; extra folding chairs can be brought in to accommodate up to 140 people.
