Friends are family. Be there when they need you most. Learn the signs of alcohol poisoning and drug overdose, and if a friend or fellow student exhibits just one, get help.
The signs of alcohol poisoning and drug overdose, can include a combination of:
- lack of coordination
- inability to stand
- confusion
- slurred speech
- erratic behavior
- slow or shallow breathing
- pale or clammy skin
- vomiting while passed out
MIT’s practice is to treat this as a health and safety matter, not as a disciplinary incident. The call will be responded to by qualified EMTs.
