Dorms, Living Groups, and Sororities:
- McCormick Hall: MIT's only all-female residence hall was named after Stanley A. McCormick, the husband of Katherine Dexter McCormick. Katherine was a central figure in many of the most important social and political struggles facing American women in the twentieth century.
- Women's Independent Living Group (WILG): This ILG houses about forty-five residents and was founded with the belief that a group of hard-working women can manage their own house, which they have been doing for over thirty years.

The mission of the Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation is to bring students together in educational activities that promote healthy lifestyles, enhance a sense of community, foster growth in leadership and teamwork skills, and encourage the pursuit of excellence. There are dedicated women's sports clubs where students can join and foster community and wellness.
