The CARMA program is sponsored by the AILG and if you are interested in participating, please contact Bob Ferrara, senior director in DSL, or Jacob Oppenheimer, assistant director for FSILGs.
I've attended a PartySafePlus training. Am I all set for four years?
Yes. Once you have been completed PartySafePlus Online and Scenarios you do not need to do the program again. If you have completed an older version of the program (prior to Fall 2014), you will need to complete the new program.
My PartySafePlus Scenarios session got cancelled. Why?
Due to the group work and discussion aspects of the program at least 20 people must attend a session in order for it to be held successfully. Sessions may be cancelled in advance if not enough people sign up through the online registration system, or in the moment if not enough people show up to the presentation. If you sign-up for a certain session, please respect other participants and be there!
Do I need to complete both PartySafePlus Online and Scenarios to get credit for full completion?
Yes. According to the IFC Risk Management policy, three-fourths of every chapter has to be PartySafePlus-trained at all times in order to hold events with alcohol. Completion both programs completes this requirement. Within residence halls, event hosts and sober moniters must be PartySafePlus trained to hold events. Additionally, specific residence hall might have additional percentage trained requirements to host events. Please check with your Area Director regarding specifics for your community.
How do I sign up for a PartySafePlus Scenarios?
Fraternity members should register here. Those students that reside in residence halls should contact their Area Director regarding the next available program. Currently, we are working with our other community members to refine the PartySafePlus program for their needs. Sorority and ILG members should contact the CDSA for more information.
