Clarification: Spring 2021 Housing Application
November 14, 2020
It has come to our attention that several of you have encountered a programming error when ranking your building preferences within the Spring 2021 Housing Application. I am writing to clarify the process for submitting your building preferences, and to encourage everyone who has submitted their application to again review their application submission in MyHousing to ensure your preferences have been accurately captured. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Directions for Residence Hall Preference Ranking:
- Please select and rank all of the building options listed within the Spring 2021 Housing Application using the LEFT dropdown options to number each building. Please do not use the right dropdown options to select the building. The buildings on the right will remain in the same alphabetical order, however, you may adjust the numbers in the left column so that it corresponds with your preference for each building.
If you are reviewing your submission and re-submitting the form, please remember to complete each page of the “Resubmit Spring 2021 - Housing Application” and click “finish” to ensure that your updated application is properly submitted.
Results of the building placement will be shared with students next Friday, November 20. While HRS will make every effort to assign students to one of their top residence hall preferences, there is a possibility that a student may receive an assignment in any of the available residences based on space availability and the priority order established in consultation with DormCon.
As a reminder, the Spring 2021 Housing Application closes at the end of the day this coming Monday, November 16. If you have any questions, please visit the Spring 2021 Housing Dashboard for helpful information or reach out to the HRS team via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at (617) 253-2811.
