To assure proper service levels, the following policies are followed: For events during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm), we require a forty-eight hour advance notice. We will always try to accomodate late requests and provide the services you require for your event. However, due to the demand this places on equipment and staff resources, we reserve the right to charge a 20 percent increase on equipment and labor rates on last-minute orders. MIT AV technical staff will work to assure you are 100 percent satisfied with the equipment and services provided by the department. However, if equipment is provided by others, MIT AV technicians will not be responsible for setup, operation or troubleshooting this equipment due to liability reasons. For events at other times (weekdays before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm, weekends, holidays, etc.), we require a five-day advance notice.
Note: Effective January 1, 2018, MIT Audio Visual Services will no longer offer equipment or labor services for off-campus events. This will enable us to concentrate our efforts to support events within the MIT campus. MIT AV staff can provide recommendations for outside AV vendors for off-campus events.
MAIN CAMPUS: For all service requests except for Sloan-sponsored classes or events.
