Housing Assignments Team

Supporting to the needs of current and prospective residents.


The Housing Assignments Team assists current and prospective residents, and their families, with navigating the MIT residential system.  Inquiries about housing availability, billing, assignments and housing processes are handled by the Assignment Team, who are an integral part of the department.

Paul joined MIT's Housing & Residential Services (HRS) team in September 2022. As the Associate Director of Residential Services, Paul directly manages the Housing Assignments Team and assignments for residents of graduate and undergraduate on-campus housing, as well as off-campus housing resources and summer conference guest housing. Paul, who joins MIT following previous positions at Yale University and Brown University, possesses years of professional experience in housing assignments, operations and technology.

Lusi joined the Housing & Residential Services (HRS) team in May 2021. She works with the Assignments Team to support students through the various housing processes at the Institute. A St. Louis native, Lusi received her MEd in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of South Florida prior to working at Brandeis University as an Area Coordinator. Outside of work, Lusi can be found eating and exploring New England, or reading on the couch with her black cat, Vader.

Stephen joined Housing & Residential Services (HRS) in the Fall of 2008. Stephen’s primary responsibilities include administrating all aspects of on-campus summer conferences and programs, undergraduate summer housing and housing extension requests, and managing MIT's Off-Campus Housing Office. Prior to joining HRS, Stephen worked in several other capacities at the Institute, including within the Office of the President and the Francis Bitter Magnet Lab. Outside of the office you can find Stephen enjoying time with friends and family.

Geri-Lyn, or “Gera”, started her MIT career in 1992 and has supported campus residents for close to thirty years. Gera’s primary responsibilities include administrating all aspects of housing assignments within three graduate residence halls, including the Graduate Tower at Site 4, Tang Hall and Westgate Apartments. She specializes in supporting residents of MIT family housing.  

Outside of the office, Gera can be found spending time with her husband, Andrew, their two children, Declan and Emma, their Chocolate Lab, Puddin’, and their two cats, Paisley and Bentley.  She enjoys the great outdoors, including camping, kayaking, cooking, gardening and being outside in the mountains.

Nicole joined Housing & Residential Services (HRS) in 2018.  Within her current role as a Senior Assignments Associate, Nicole coordinates housing assignments in graduate houses (Ashdown House, Edgerton House, and Sidney-Pacific).   Responsibilities include administrating all aspects of housing assignments and assisting with self-selection, sublicensing, room changes and transfers.

Outside of the office, Nicole can be found spending time with family and friends, curling up with a good book or finding an adventure.

Mei joined Housing & Residential Services (HRS) in 2022.  As the Assignment & Marketing Associate for HRS, Mei helps to track and respond to incoming correspondence, as well as support other members of the Housing Assignments Team, and the department’s marketing efforts.  Prior to MIT, Mei worked at Dana Farber Cancer Institute where she helped support and guide patients, and their families, through detail-oriented processes to ensure patients received the proper medical treatment.  Mei is a 2021 graduate of Suffolk University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, Journalism, and Media. 

In her free time, Mei can be found exploring Boston, in search of the City’s best hot pot. She is also an avid Boston Bruins hockey fan, but enjoys taking in occasional Red Sox baseball games as well.

Dwyght joined the team at MIT Housing & Residential Services in 2022.  He is an alumnus of Seton Hall University (‘19) and received a master of business administration from Rowan University (‘21). Within his role, Dwyght supports the Housing Assignments Team to develop and implement a variety of housing processes.  Outside of the office, Dwyght is an avid sports fan, with an undergraduate degree in Sports Management. You can find him catching basketball and football teams, or streaming episodes of his favorite shows.
