Student Support & Wellbeing
Violence Prevention & Response is one office under the umbrella of Student Support & Wellbeing, a group within MIT's Division of Student Life, committed to making sure that all students are supported throughout their education at MIT.
SSAW provides academic, personal, disability, substance use/abuse, crisis, and violence prevention services and education to the entire community. Indeed, we are here to support all MIT students and provide the community with the tools and information to be able to recognize and support students who are in need.
Vision: Student Support and Wellbeing empowers the MIT community to proactively seek care by providing services that are compassionate, trustworthy, transparent, and accessible to all.
Mission: We are here to support all MIT students by providing individualized services, coordinating resources, and offering innovative prevention and education programs.
We work closely with our colleagues in Student Support Services, Alcohol & Other Drug Services, Student Disability Services, and the CARE Team to ensure that our students have a diverse network of support.
