Community Employment Administrator
As the Center’s Community Employment Administrator, Chiara helps students find, secure, and succeed in community-based employment and off-campus Federal Work-Study positions. Chiara is responsible for all aspects of program development and implementation and ensures that student experiences meet the Public Service Center’s standards for service and MIT’s educational standards as well as federal, labor and institutional regulations. Chiara coordinates community partnership building and cultivation.
Chiara was born and raised in Italy, where she received a master's in history and worked as career and employment advisor. She lived for several years in Ireland, where she garnered experience in internship and volunteer program management and expertise in diversity and inclusion initiatives. In Massachusetts, Chiara’s work has mainly focused on immigrant integration, cross-cultural communications, and capacity building before joining the PKG Center in August 2015.
