Paid and Volunteer Opportunities

I want to volunteer my time to help people in need.

Many student organizations, religious groups , and FSILGs, participate in volunteer activities throughout the communities they live in and the world. In addition, the Public Service Center provides resources, tools and a multitude of opportunities for you to volunteer.

I need to find a job this summer.

The student employment staff in Student Financial Services (SFS) works with students and employers within MIT and off campus to develop and list student job openings, including paid community service positions.

I'd like to sharpen my leadership skills.

MIT offers countless opportunities to sharpen one's leadership skills. A good place to start is the Student Leadership Development Office and their student leadership development database, lists countless opportunities. In addition, MIT Sloan School, and The Gordon-MIT Engineering leadership Program, in the School of Engineering are excellent programs for leadership development.
