Are there opportunities for me to gain a better understanding of other faiths?

The Chaplain to the Institute and the Board of Chaplains at MIT all provide spiritual and personal support to students, faculty, staff and the MIT community.

Who can I speak with about getting married at MIT?

Many students and alumni ask about having weddings on campus at MIT. Speaking with the Chaplain(s) of your choice is a good place to start.

Is there someone I can talk to about my faith?

The Chaplains at MIT, representing many of the world's religions, serve both their own religious communities, as well as the MIT community at large. Chaplains are available for counseling, private talks, and program development.

Does MIT offer worship space for my faith?

The MIT Chapel is open seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. When nothing is scheduled during those times, it is open to members of the MIT Community for private meditation. Only religious groups approved by the Dean’s Office may use the Chapel for religious services. However, it is also available to members of the MIT community for personal events such as weddings (religious services only), baptisms, bar/bat mitzvahs, and memorial services.
