I have comment about the dining program.

Questions and comments can be sent to foodstuff@mit.edu or submitted through the feedback forms on the Campus Dining Web site.

Are there grocery stores nearby?

There are two on-campus convenient stores, LaVerde’s Market (W20) and Macgregor convenience (W61). Additionally, a grocery shuttle runs to Shaw’s/Star Market on Saturday mornings. Use the MBTA Web site to find other grocery stores accessible via public transportation.

How do I sign up for the meal plan?

MIT doesn’t have traditional meal plans like you might find at other colleges and universities. Meals are typically paid for with TechCASH, Dining Dollars or cash. A meal program called House Dining Membership is available to use for dinner purchases in Residential Dining Rooms.

Where can I find breakfast?

Cafés and restaurants that serve breakfast are spread throughout the campus, and are intentionally located on the paths to classes and labs. Visit the Campus Dining Web site to find information and to find operating hours and locations.

What is House Dining Membership?

House Dining Membership , formerly Preferred Dining Membership, is a program that works much like a shopping club.

I have a food allergy or restricted diet.

Campus Dining operations are sensitive to dietary concerns.

Where’s the cafeteria?

Rather than traditional cafeteria-style dining facilities MIT operates over 30 restaurants, cafés and other services across the Campus. The menus for each location vary depending on the time of year, seasonal availability of ingredients and type of cuisine offered.
