New faces in DSL

The Division of Student Life is excited to welcome several new faces to our staff. A few folks joined us this past Spring and a few more will join us this July and August. Learn more about these new staff members below and please welcome them when you see them.  

 

Kim Thu Duong: Dormitory Patrol for Housing

Kim Thu Duong joined Housing as a Dormitory Patrol team member in April. Kim comes to DSL from the Department of Facilities, where she served as a custodian for five years. 

 

Tenzin Soepa: Dormitory Patrol for Housing

Tenzin joined the Dormitory Patrol team in April. Tenzin comes to DSL from the Department of Facilities, where he served as a custodian for five years. 

 

Michael Myers: Assistant Director for Campus Dining

Michael Myers joined DSL in April as the new Assistant Director for Campus Dining and brings with him over 28 years of food service experience. Previously Michael worked at Tufts University, the University of Kansas, and the University of Nebraska. 

 

Alana Hamlett: Assistant Director for Student Activities and Event Management

Alana Hamlett is the new Assistant Director for Student Activities and Event Management in the Student Activities Office. Alana has five years of experience in student affairs and comes to MIT from California Polytechnic State University, where she was the Coordinator of Student Development. Alana will join us on Tuesday, July 5.

 

Michelle Lessly: Residential Life Associate (RLA)
Michelle Lessly is the new Residential Life Associate for Burton-Conner, Random, and New House. Michelle has worked in residential life at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and at Abilene Christian University in Texas. Michelle will join us on Monday, August 1.
