Chan brings a pattern of inspiration to the Hobby Shop

This past fall Brian Chan ('02, SM '04, PhD '09) began working part-time in the Hobby Shop. In the Shop, he works with Director Ken Stone to help students with thoughtful design, wood- and metalworking, fabrication, and other hands-on skills.

Outside of the shop, Brian has an impressive track record putting his own hands to work fashioning the intricate folds of origami. His work has been exhibited around the country, he's won numerous international prizes--and Student Life at MIT is lucky to have him. Welcome aboard, Brian!
