Privileges Associated with Recognition

Recognized FSILGs in Good Standing are provided resources and support through MIT, DSL, and the FSILG Office. Those resources may include, but are not limited to:

  • leadership development and skill building opportunities for members and officers
  • full advising support of FSILG Staff
  • financial support for chapter, officer, and new member retreats
  • financial support for regional or nationally-affiliated workshops

or conventions

  • chapter and officer advisement for chapter operations
  • chapter and officer advisement for event planning, space, and advertisement on campus
  • governing council membership and leadership
  • Institute and other award and recognition opportunities
  • General eligibility to identify as an MIT FSILG and student organization
