Before vacating your room or apartment, you must
- clean it and return it to the condition it was in on the day you moved in (this includes replacing furnishings you removed at any time during the year)
- have your room or apartment checked by the appropriate residence staff, if you are concerned

If you fail to complete any of these check-out procedures, you will be fined and charged rent up to the day when you turn in all keys to the front desk.
Students with Disabilities
If you need accessible housing because of a disability, you must provide medical documentation to support your request. Please send you documentation to the Housing Office http://housing.mit.edu/contact or to the Disability Services Office (DSO) http://studentlife.mit.edu/node/94. The Housing Office approves requests for accessible housing in consultation with MIT Medical. If you do not need accessible housing but are assigned to an accessible room, the Housing Office reserves the right to relocate you during your occupancy if the space is needed for a student with a disability. We will do our best to arrange for a quick and convenient transfer. The rent for your new room with be charged from the effective date of the transfer.
