Help with IDEAS

Share expertise, volunteer, or donate funds.

How can you help?

It’s all about collaboration. When passionate individuals pool their skills, knowledge, and resources, we can tackle just about anything. IDEAS teams have developed solutions to some of society’s most difficult problems with the help of dedicated volunteers like you. Donations of all kinds, from funds to lab space to time and energy, are all vital to a team’s efforts—while you have the enduring satisfaction of knowing that your help has made this a better world.

Share Your Knowledge

What’s your area of expertise? Healthcare? Energy? Water and sanitation? Mobile communications? Or maybe you have connections in a geographic region where a challenge needs to be solved. Let us know what you’re good at and how you think you can help.

Volunteer Your Skills

Among the most valuable resources that you, as a volunteer, can share are skills, knowledge, and experience. Reach out to us if you would like to serve as a mentor, reviewer, or event volunteer. In addition to a passion for pitching in, you must be able to attend event-related meetings at MIT.

Donate Resources

We rely on the generosity of alumni and members of the community—individual and corporate—to donate funds or share material resources such as lab or shop space. Your donations make it possible for IDEAS teams to explore revolutionary solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing the global community. To find out more about donating in-kind resources, please contact our staff directly at the contact below.
