Techology Children's Center
Techology's Children's Centers (TCC) provide year-round educational care to children from two months of age through kindergarten entry (approximately six years of age). TCC includes three sites on campus, and a fourth site near Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA, approximately 10 miles west of campus.
The TCC on-campus centers (located at Eastgate, Stata, and Westgate) serve approximately 130 children; TCC at Lincoln Laboratory (LINC) serves an additional 110 children. Campus centers are open to MIT community members and a limited number of specifically named MIT-affiliated organizations. TCC at Lincoln Laboratory serves MIT Community members and non-MIT affiliates.
Please be advised that there are long waiting lists for care in all age groups for the on-campus centers, the wait for infant or toddler care can be particularly long. Once expecting a child, families interested in TCC are encouraged to apply for space well in advance of their need. Application forms are available online. Scholarship assistance is available to benefits-eligible employees and post doctoral fellows (and to graduate students through April 15, 2011) enrolled in TCC who meet income and eligibility guidelines. For specific information on locations, programs, shcedules, tuition, and scholarships, please visit the TCC website athttp://hrweb.mit.edu/mitchildcare.
TCC is overseen by the MIT Work-Life Center (formerly, the MIT Center for Work, Family, and Personal Life) and managed by Bright Horizons/Family Solutions, Inc., a child care management company. The Center for Work, Family and Personal Life can also provide MIT families with information about how to find off-campus child care.
