Security
Security of MIT residence halls is maintained by Housing & Residential Services and the MIT Police. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts grants police authority to MIT Police officers, extending the same authority and powers as local or state police, in or upon real property owned, used, or occupied by MIT.
Housing & Residential Services assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any property brought onto the premises, and the Program (if applicable) and guests hereby release and discharge Housing & Residential Services from any and all liability for loss, injury, or damages to person or property that may be sustained by reason of the occupancy and use of Housing & Residential Services premises.
