Available to program and conference visitors affiliated with MIT

Planning to host a group at MIT this summer? Learn more about your housing options below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the recent public health emergency surrounding COVID-19, the summer housing processes and timelines have been placed on hold until further notice.  Updates regarding these processes will be shared on this webpage.  If you have any immediate questions, please contact Housing & Residential Services via e-mail at residence@mit.edu.

During the summer months, MIT sets aside a limited number of rooms in on-campus residences for program and conference housing affiliated with MIT. Space is limited, and available housing is currently reserved for returning groups only.

If you are a NEW MIT-affiliated program or conference who is looking for summer housing on MIT's campus, we encourage you to contact MIT's Conference Services, a one-stop shop for conference organizers, providing professional conference planning and registration services.

If you are a current MIT student or cross-registered Wellesley student, applications for summer student housing will open in late March.

We regret that we are unable to offer guest housing for individuals. If you will be a guest of the Institute (researcher, visiting faculty, etc.) and need housing during the summer, please visit the Sublicensing Center to explore short-term on-campus housing options, or visit http://mitoffcampus.com for off-campus housing. Note: You will need your MIT certificates to access these sites.
