DSL Administration

Mission DSL Administration provides the support and infrastructure for the Division of Student Life which enables the division as a whole and its individual units to focus on creating a better, more positive experience for the student and the MIT community.
Vision DSL Administration strives to set standards and best practices across the Institute for quality service to clients in Communications, Environmental Health and Safety, Finance, IS&T, Human Resources, Organizational Development and Space Administration.

DSL Administration reports directly to Dean Colombo. The DSL Administration group is comprised of a team of staff who facilitates and/or provides for the following functions and services: Budget and Finance, Information Technology, Space Administration, Risk Management, Communications, Organizational Development and Performance, and Human Resources. DSL Administration provides DSL with the means for making significant progress toward sustainable systemic changes and business results.
Resources and Services for Department Members
These administrative resources are intended primarily for MIT faculty, students and staff and therefore some portions of this site may be restricted to holders of MIT web certificates. We try to provide services to all members of the DSL community, however, when time and resources don't allow that we may need to prioritize and/or outsource support as appropriate. Finance, IT and Space Administration central coordination of DSL processes and a variety of support services to individual departments and offices. Organizational Performance and HR provides coaching, facilitation, and consulting support to DSL departments, committees, recognized student groups and other DSL affiliates with the goal of helping them to achieve business results and enhance their overall effectiveness.
