Microlearning Boot Camp - January 2016
Quick, accessible online information appeals to students, so you may want to know more about microlearning strategies. We have recruited experts from across MIT to offer a four-session Microlearning Boot Camp. Sign up for one session or all four (please indicate which session(s)) -- and sign up soon, since space is limited. Enrollment closes January 3, but we expect the sessions to fill up well before that since the workshops are open to everyone.

Sessions: 1. Introduction to microlearning and instructional design for online learning on Tues, Jan 5, 2-4 pm 2. Quick guide to "fair use," copyright, and citation online on Tues, Jan 12, 2-4 PM 3. Quick guide to making short educational videos on Thurs Jan 14, 2-4 pm 4. Quick guide to articles, listicles, blogs and infographics on Tues Jan 19, 2-4 pm. See more here.

The Life Learning program is designed to enable the MIT community to help MIT students learn what they need and want to know to enhance their lives at MIT and beyond. See http://lifelearning.mit.edu

DSL Diversity Day of Dialogue - March 21, 2014
The DSL Diversity Day of Dialogue is an all day, off-site retreat just for DSL personnel, so pre-registration is required. The purpose is to bring together staff from across various DSL divisions to participate in a day of workshops, speakers, community building, action, and reflection centered on issues of culture, identity, and social justice at MIT and beyond.  We expect participants to become even better prepared and confident to assist and work with MIT's wonderfully diverse students on these issues.
